    Thermo fan doesn't work

Through a process of elimination, it appears the temp sensor that goes into the radiator which tells the primary fan to turn on seems to have stopped working. The secondary fan does work but by the time that flicks on, the engine is quite hot and I tested to see if they both work by flicking on the aircon and sure enough, they both work ok.

Don't suppose anyone has a quick fix to bypass the sensor so that the fan stays on while the engines running until I can find a new one?

Also, the mitsubishi (or equivalent) part number would be appreciated, I can get one from 3SX easy enough, as much as I love them, its a $45 switch and by the time it lands here, there will be a fairly hefty bit of freight attached to that which would make it 'more than I would like to pay' just for one little part, so finding it locally through mitsu here would be a little easier on the wallet.

    regards

Going by your avatar you are a 97 so the temp sensor isnt in the rad, its in the water housing. I think its something like $20-$40 at most auto parts stores.

I'm sure someone here in the states could pick you one up and ship it to you via USPS priority for $15 extra if you wanted to go that route.

Ah if they're just in the water-block near the thermostat, I might have just accidentally bumped it fitting a new Y-pipe into the plenum the other day.
Cheers, I'll give it a look over.
