    Swapping Odometer's between gauge clusters

I bought a TT gauge cluster to install my LCDBC screen and put into my TT swapped Stealth. Is it possible to swap the odometer from my current gauge cluster into the TT one? I haven't torn either apart yet but if I cant swap the odometer to reflect the true mileage I am not going to bother installed the LCDBC in it.

    Thanks
    Josh

I had the same dilemma; what I did was take a pic of the new cluster - with LCDBC in place - in front of the original cluster (in place) so as to show both mileages at the point I swapped clusters, to document the difference, which in my case was 14,963 miles.

I didn't want to do without the LCDBC.

I have the original cluster stashed as supporting evidence.

If you're careful you can take the number spool out and set it to whatever you want.

    Ask me how I know

    Define really careful haha

I much rather set the TT fairly close if I can instead of tearing two apart and hoping it works after.

It's tedious tiny work but any mechanical odometer can be tweaked to suit your needs. I'm not condoning rolling it back to under the car's actual mileage, though I know that's not what you're after

It is very easy to pull out the odo part of a cluster and put it into a donor cluster.

My car has 32,xxx original miles and I couldn't bear the thought of cutting up the original cluster to install the LCDBC screen, so I had in installed into another cluster that I swapped my odo into.

I don't think it's difficult to set the odometer to whatever you want. The clear plastic and black trim bezel are a bit brittle cause they're all old at this point

I reset my odometer on my car cause I wanted to know where I start from since it's a new build. The title will still track the mileage on the car... not that it will matter

Sounds good, hopefully I can just adjust the TT cluster without breaking it. Ill give it a go tonight.

Pulled apart the TY cluster, turns out the odometer assembly is easily removed with 4 screws. I am assuming the one from my car will swap right over. Well I hope that's the case anyways, going to start measuring and cutting up the TT one to mount my LCDBC screen.
