aem v2 question about base map + passwrd

ok so a buddy of mine downloaded a base from and im wondering for the injectors it asked for old and new. im not sure if the base map was written for 550s. but what im using now are 1120s. car ran pretty rich. car shut off a few times and now the ecu locked itself out asking for a password. we hit clear ems and passwords and it keeps saying the same thing. anyone know any of these 2 questions?

If these aren't questions your buddy can answer I would start with the base map included with the s2, its pretty good. It is setup for 550s out of the box. The only thing I know of that is "incorrect" on the s2 base map is it has the pickup comp delay setup for a 1G when the map claims to be a 2G. Follow the setup guide and you will be going in no time.

oh and I don't know why its asking you for a password, but keep in mind the EMS may need to be fully power cycled if you kill it. Turn the key completely off, wait for the MFI relay to click and then turn it back on and attempt to connect.

I'm really not being a smartass, but you really need to read the setup guide. The aem isn't something you can just dive into, I would understand the software and options before even trying to start the car. You CAN tune the car if you are willing to learn, but if you just try to learn a bit at a time without understanding the process you can destroy your engine.

There are some excellent videos online:

The first thing to do is verify all your sensors read sane values with the key on engine off.
