    1993 3000gt vr4 $14,000

No longer for sale whole... I'm going to part out all the major items. Rolling caged shell with or without custom interior might be available after part out has started.

After almost 14 years its time to move on. I'm selling my single turbo '93 vr4 since I haven't driven it more than a couple times a year for a long time. I have only put a few thousand miles it in over a decade. It has extensive modifications but in a clean package (hasn't changed too much since March 2010 ROTM at the other site). The body is in excellent shape never been driven in snow. It has a lot of custom fabrication including a very high quality single turbo setup w/ two different borgwarner turbos and as robust a 3.0 6g72 as money can buy. All necessary supporting mods to run 10's which it has done including tilton clutch, CF driveshaft, 300m axles, SS t-case, 1000hp fuel system, etc. It is running on a well tuned Chrome ecu and is also wired for an AEM which is also included. It has a freshly fully rebuilt 5-speed with every goodie (SCE torsen center, quaife front, all new synchros, bearings, etc) done by TRE and shifts like new. The custom 150mph roll cage is minimally intrusive with OEM dash, center console, HVAC (no a/c), and seatbelts. I'm slightly negotiable but the price is fair considering I could part out just the major powertrain/drivetrain parts and electronics for more. It doesn't need anything except a new owner to drive it or continue its evolution. Its putting ~ 550whp to the wheels at 20psi as-is and could easily do another 100whp before swapping to the larger turbo which is also included. Mod list below. Tons of pictures of the car, parts, fabrication, etc are linked below. Serious offers considered... if there are mods you don't want we can make a deal.

    Notes:
AC and cruise removed for single turbo kit and 4” thick FMIC core. Active aero and rear wing removed. Abs deleted with n/a prop valve installed. Rear wheel steer removed (cleanly). Radio deleted for gauges. OEM seatbelts still installed. HVAC still works for heating.

    Current mods and info:
Heads: locally professionally ported and built heads w/ new oem valves, early 1g cams, Fidanza cam gears, new guides, mitsu seals, Kiggly racing beehive springs, titanium retainers, and new keepers w/ Ray P's headlift fix pinning. DR ported lower intake manifold.
Short block: 4-bolt 0.040" over (92mm) with nitrided forged crank, wiesco forged pistons, trend tool steel wrist pins, crower rods, clevite bearings, arp main and L19 head studs, oem gaskets, IJ windage tray, professionally balanced and assembled, Canton long non-bypass oil filter, billet oil pump gears. Machine work done locally by Automotive Machine in Frasier (the 4th race-spec 6g7x they did for me) including line boring/honing and cylinder work done using torque plates, deck micro polished. Build sheet and dynamic balancing info available.
Engine misc: Modified Maximal motor mounts, newer OEM alternator, tons of new OEM suspension and engine parts…
Turbo “kit”: Currently installed on the car is a fully custom 304l/316l stainless single turbo v-band setup designed for t4 inlet turbos. Includes everything from intake manifold to oil pan including 4" FMIC, 3” ic pipes w/ t-bolt clamps, setrab side mount oil cooler/fan, JVTR single pass radiator, Spal push fan, 3.5" stainless downpipe, accufab 75mm TB, turbo intake for speed density or evo maf, Tial bov, Tial 46mm wastegate, SS turbo heat shield, 3.5 to 4" stainless single exhaust, custom carbon fiber hood that clears intake mani, custom front motor mount bracket, n/a power steering reservoir/bracket/lines, remote IAC block with new IAC, ’99 style coolant overflow tank, new OEM oil pan with welded –AN fitting, SS oil feed/return lines/fittings, etc.
Turbo (s): Included in sale price is the currently installed BorgWarner Airwerks 66mm s300sx3 single turbo (P/N 177281) good for an easy 650 whp. Also included is a BorgWarner Airwerks 71mm s400sx3 single turbo (P/N 179171) with 2 different a/r turbine housings good for an easy 850 whp with decent spool characteristics. The S400 1.1 and 1.25 a/r turbine housings both have Shiver’s quick spool valve installed and everything necessary for installation/fitment into the vehicle.
Transmission/Driveline: Currently installed in the car is a freshly rebuilt (only about 200 local break-in miles and 4-5 launches) w5mg1 transmission. All work done by Jon Ripple at TRE in Kalamazoo. At time of rebuild was a new SCE torsen center differential, Quaife front differential, all new bearings, synchros, etc. Transmission is running Nissan DCT fluid. Extra 2-3 gallons of new DCT fluid included ($$$). Transfer case has front and mid-section LIPP stainless steel housings with new bearings/seals and a new NBT quadco spool running SP heavy fluid. Also installed is a PST 2-piece carbon fiber driveshaft (no vibration). Front axles are newer OEM and rears are Ray P’s 300m axles.
Clutch: Currently installed in the car is Erron’s custom chromoly flywheel and Tilton OT2 7.25” clutch cover with twin hardened spline QMI 0.25" rally disks (new). Tilton hydraulic throw out bearing provides a very light weight clutch pedal. Clutch is good for 800+ awhp and is superior (IMO) to the RPS carbon and ATS/Carbonetics offerings.
Fuel System: Twin 250HP walbro fuel pumps in a custom high flow fuel pump assembly to a -10 SS braided teflon supply line to a CM racing e85 safe 6” fuel filter to a combination of 0.5” SS braided teflon and 0.5” rigid SS fuel lines to an Aeromotive regulator and billet rails. RC 1200cc fuel injectors and a custom installed Kenne Bell boost-a-pump with center console displayed voltage and adjustment. New aluminum fuel line protector under car.
Electronics/ECU/Etc: Chrome ecu and adapter harness currently installed with evo maf. AEM map and ait sensors also installed for the AEM series 1 which is also included. Car runs great on both ecus. AEM wideband (gauge-type) and OEM narrowband o2 sensors. Blitz DSBC boost controller in arm rest. Autometer oil pressure, fuel pressure, water temp, and wagner boost gauges in center console. Small ETX30L sealed battery in OEM location.

Wheels/Tires: 17” FN01R-C hyperblack wheels with 275/40-17 nitto nt-01 drag radials with only ~ 200 miles and 4-5 launches on them.
Suspension/Brakes: K-sport coilovers with only ~ 500 miles on them. Adjustable lower rear control arms. New front ball joints. Good alignment. Corner scales used for setup. 2g OEM front rotors (new) with Porterfield r4s pads front/rear (new) and stainless steel brake lines.
Body: ~131k miles on clean rust-free ’93 body with newer paint job from CT. 2g headlight buckets with ’97 vr4 front/’95 rear bumper covers and side skirts. Front bumper looks decent but is actually rough. Black lexan headlights. Deft carbon fiber hood (hydraulic struts) with modification for intake manifold clearance. Aerocatch locking hood pins. ~ 3380# weight with me in the car.
Interior: Thompson Racing Fabrication 8-point nhra/ihra spec roll cage with additional safety design elements designed around factory dash and rear interior (no rear seats). Thanks... I agree but I'm biased. I have put many hundreds of hours of sweat into getting this car set up the way I wanted and didn't cut corners. I have dozens of hours on the dyno and have experimented and researched heavily. I worked as an engineer at BorgWarner for almost 13 years and bugged the turbo guys there all the time for input on my car and which turbos to try. Most of the coolest mods have literally only a few hundred miles on them. I feel sick that the car just sits, but I'd feel more sick if I had to part it out. I've had a couple low ball offers but I'm not in a hurry to sell so it can wait for the right buyer. If that doesn't happen then I'll part it out eventually.

I can vouch for Wayne's car, it's all that and a bag of chips. It makes all the right noise under boost, lol.
