    Anyone with a welder....

    Nobody has ever marketed anything like that. Anyone doing it welds the planetary gears or the VCU.

    No I don't recommend welding the VCU even if it's bad. It's much easier to weld the planetary gear assembly so the VCU can't turn.

    Of course if you intend it to be a permanent modification, you would be best served to find a bad VCU, rather than have your good one locked inside your trans.

    If you go that way, let me know, I can hook you up with a bad VCU.
