I've been talking to Robert from Road Race engineering regarding my build. Every bit of advice he has given me has been very beneficial. They have successfull turbocharged a 3.8 Mivec in moderately stock form in their 4th Gen eclipse track car. I've decided to stick to twins for the streetability factor. But due to space constraints I've deviated from the stock locations off the heads. Instead I've chosen to relocate the turbos over the transmission.

The guys at Club4G.org have been more than generous as to lead me the right way also. The engine is now equipped with 3G eclipse cast exhaust manifolds which will act as the base for which i'll be making extensions going to the turbos.

the rear manifold already faces the correct way allowing clearance for a decent sized down pipe.

The Front comes way too close to the Alternatorbut I think I can get away with wrapping or ceramic coating the manifolds and not kill the alternator... HOPEFULLY.

these manifolds ave pretty large runners, I was surprised when I compared them to the 72 parts. The 3G manifolds are also similar to the 4G manifolds.

The flangesand Schedule 10 304Lhave been ordered also. I debated to get the 316 Schedule 10 tube but I didnt see it being cost effective, Maybe if the car lived at 5000+ rpm all the time I would have.

Oil pan has been removed to make my clearances for the transfer case, In the pics you will see where i removed material. The 3.5 Debonair Oil pan in comparison is much easier to work with in my opinion since it already allows for the exhaust to go under the oil pan. While with the Mivec in its current orientation, won't allow me to do that very easily. It can be done, but not easily.

The motor is a 4 bolt none the less, and I might as well throw a 120k on it for safe measures before I really put it together.

I also am going the Single turbo route for the sake of simplicity. The turbo as of now is Top secret lol some of you that have lived long enough to survive ABBA and the Bee Gees may recognize the turbo when I post pics of i

Pics! since they are worth more than words lol.

350Z manifolds with 6G75 flanges and V-band outlets - I braced the rear pretty well.

Rear Manifold clearance... Thank god for Solid mounts and thermal wrap/coating.

Looks like a Inboard Boat motor lol

The next batch is where I stopped for now.

I think it looks pretty mean so far.

I decided to relocate the Master cylinder reservior although I didn't need to. It just gives that much more space to an already crowded corner once I put a throttle body in...

In this pic you can see the multiple check valves I uses to keep a properly operating clutch booster with the Vac line delete. The clear check valve is for the Brake master, and the Metal T check valve assembly is from a Starion. These two in conjuction allow for retained Vacuum assist with the removal of the Vacuum reservoir to the clutch booster.

I managed to find time to get a hood clearance measurement from the top of the shock towers... Clearance is a negative. I'm re-skinning the hood.

Turbo Hot parts are almost complete. I have to move it again to make everything clear everything. but now all that's left is to weld on the wastegates and build the down pipe.

Also, the 1G CAS fits with some modification in the end some minor re-wiring of the factory harness and the 3.8 will live!

    lol diesel stack style.

Didn't know he sold out. We were working out some of the kinks together on the build. You do have the advantage of having thicker cylinder walls allowing you to push the 4.0L envelope. Monochrome, first I've heard about the 2nd gen sensors absolutely not working.

Is it just me, or is your copy n paste posts all jacked up? No pics, and black text in the dark theme.

Help them, for they know not that which they do not know!

No such thing. You will have to play with a couple of things. Mostly fuel maps.
