    MIVEC build

so one thing has led to another, and I'm now in the process of acquiring a well built 3.8L mivec engine and turbo setup. I'll be using my clone ecu to run it, and and pulling up a blank trying to find a rom for it. does anybody have any suggestions, or know what I can do to the 3k rom to make it work for the 3.8 to atleast get it up and running?

Is that Bag-O-Chips setup that he was documenting on 3si?

Part of me is envious. The other, more rational and tired-of-working-on-these-cars side of me isn't. A MIVEC setup is the one thing I wish I would have made the initial leap on, then my car would have everything I want.

Oh well. Maybe later. Curious to see how in depth it will get with you.

I was wondering what happened to that build. I love that turbo. I'm still not a fan of having it over the transmission though. Good luck with it, I hope it works out.

None of the cam/crank triggers from that engine will work for a Flash ECU. Sorry.

the harness will be a slightly modified 95 vr4 harness with a clone ECU running chrome. a modified 1G cas for the timing trigger, the mivec will be left off for the time being, I'm sure I can get it working but its a little more complicated than just PWM, it uses a 2 second full 12v them PWM to operate, so it will take some thinking to get working.
