I though K&N rated their filter for horsepower

Is that published somewhere? or did you have to ask someone..?

If that's the case, I'm back to looking for filters...

I don't know why Adam's post disappeared, but it touched on a subject I wanted to explore... according to K&N, they rate filters at 1.5 inches of vacuum. K&N Airflow Testing Procedure

That's pretty typical, carburetors are rated the same... but that's also why we used to run 2300 cfm of carb on a race car that couldn't flow half that. 1.5 inches is a huge restriction... if you're going to pull a race motor to that high of a vacuum, you may as well stuff a potato in the tailpipe while you're at it...

If those filters flow 370ish cfm at 1.5 inches, then I guarantee they're slowing your turbos down doing it.... kinda sounds like my original thinking wasn't that far off...

So what kind of horse power would these filters support? I tried to find some calculators but realized I don't have enough information to use them.

370 cfm would be little less than 13T, little more than 13G (360 cfm IIRC)
Mods: 2g 3k body conversion, 2g Brake upgrade, Rota P45R rims
Projects: Interior sound deadening, 14Bs, forged bottom end, custom radiator and sound mounts

So I made 480whp(billet dr650s) on mine and I am pretty sure they were dirty...

From that estimate, I'm guessing I'm a bit over a 13t level. But what does that really mean? 5hp loss? lol? Slower spool?
