If you are in blowthrough you can compare Mass Air flow (for a set manifold pressure) between filters/ intakes.

If you are on speed density you can compare manifold inlet temperature between the two setups (for the same manifold pressure).

Hi, well I can tell you this much, those were replacement filters, the previous ones shriveled up like if you were sucking air out of a paper bag...

Was looking at the various filter options. There are a ton!

Would be nice to come up with a few options for the various sized intake pipes. How have you guys made out? I see 3sx lists a few different ones.

    RC4650 Flange 3.00" x Length 6.00" x Width 5.00" Cone
    RE0870 Flange 4.00" x Length 9.00" x Width 6.00" Cone
    RU3480 Flange 4.50" x Length 6.00" x Width 5.90" Cone
    RU3590 Flange 2.75" x Length 7.00" x Width 4.00" Cone
    RU4250 Flange 3.75" x Length 5.00" x Width 5.40" Cone
    RX4010 Flange 2.5" x Length 4.50" x Width 4.00" Cone

The Dejon pipes I have are 2.75" and there are a bunch of options on k&n's site. What's the best way to start? I guess maybe making some cardboard test filters and see what the max size would be.

Go to K&N's site for all the options. You'll be there a while... Straight flange, angled flange, centered or offset flange, straight or tapered, round or oval....

    K&N Universal Clamp-on Air Filters

I'm considering trying to fit the RE-0800 in there.

Those must be shorter pipes though right? Both my pipes basically end at the battery.

    picture?

whats pictured above could be pulled off but you'll have to shorten your pipes. The way mine currently sit, both of my filters sit where the maf and airbox once sat. Ill have to shorten my pipes as well.

Not from me... Haven't touched the job in weeks. Patiently waiting on some custom parts to be fabricated and delivered before I can put the motor and trans back in the car.

Thanks for the reminder though... Maybe I'll become less patient today and start rattling some cages.
