Don't worry, I hear there is another FNF movie coming out and the 3s is the hero car.

Come down to the Texas Gathering in November, we have a decent collection of nice ones here.

As a gentle reminder though to all this, my statement was more to the point of it bring a career.

As far as the platform itself, I suspect we will see more focus on NAs in the future as the TT models continue to dwindle in supply, and more attempts at using components from other platforms to extend life of the vehicles. I still think tranny parts will be an issue for TTs before anything else claims them. Not something easily or affordably reproduced by the aftermarket and I don't see any vendor with the cash flow able to step up and get repros made.

I had debated making a few LS subframes for people to use. Stuff like that and the 4G can help gain popularity in the platform. RX7's had a good following but they got a lot more popular when the v8's became more popular. I don't think v8's will ever be popular with this car unless i go all out and make a complete kit, but still. The 4g can open the door a bit.

As for me, I'm following in the prediction the corvette crowd issued me years ago, although I don't ever see myself abandoning a 3s altogether - I'll always have a least one, mainly for nostalgia, first car love.

You have two fine examples. Can't go wrong keeping either one!

It will be the privateers among us that find a way to reproduce tranny parts. They won't ever be produced at huge volumes, so you'd better be willing to open your wallet when the time comes and be prepared to end up with some bad parts. Example: The $400 paper weight oil pump gears I got from boostaddict that now hang on my garage wall.

I'd say real best bet is going to be hoping for 3D printing to reach a point that materials of sufficient hardness (or capable of post-printing hardening) can be produced to replicate the gears, cones, etc.

A little off topic but,,,,,. If these cars had the same trim levels, and engine setups as the skylines it would be a differnt universe for the 3s. Rwd based platform, base models would be 4g63 turbo rwd, with vr4 staying awd twin turbo.

There are two many of these cars out there for the community to dry up. There is still a great galant vr4 community, starquest, colt/mirage gt, and those cars are all way lower production than the 3s cars.

As a new buyer , an someone who was looking to buy in the last 2 years actually 10 but I would also agree there are to many of these cars out there for the community to dry up. Im more worried about mechanics drying up lol
