1995 $ 1000 OBO

LOCATED IN LONG BEACH, CA

1995 3000GT. Engine cranks but does not start, not sure what the problem is & no time or money left to figure it out. Has been on non op since 2008, so no back fees. New gas & oil. Everything else is perfect. Just needs paint.

Factory stereo is fully functional. Tires do have good tread but they are 7 years old. Body is completely straight. All driving and indicator lights work and the taillights look pretty much like new. Horn works. Fans work but I'm not sure if the A/C works. All power windows and locks work. Transmission shifts smoothly. Interior is complete and in good condition, I believe that there are no cracks and the only problem is a small rip on one of the front seats and the steering wheel rim is kind of beat up. Cloth interior.

Asking $1000 obo or trade for a running car. I do have a little bit of cash to put on top for a running car if necessary.

Current engine definitely will need new timing belts as they are deteriorating. I believe both head gaskets are completely blown but haven't had the time to check yet and probably won't. There seem to be no noises that indicate bent valves but I haven't and probably don't intend to open it up, so who knows? The crankshaft and both cams turn freely but the engine does not start. Who knows, the engine may even be salvageable.

So, in its current condition, CAR WILL NEED TO BE TOWED.

The best thing to do in my opinion, considering that the car has been pretty much sitting since 2008, would probably be to just buy a new engine and swap it in. I know that a healthy 6G72 can be had for around $500, even less if you get lucky, so I'm asking $1k OBO or trade for what is basically a complete rolling shell.

Car does not have ECS or active aero.
