At $150, I'm in. How much to ship across the pond?. That's a much better price than I expected.

it's not going to be 150 because that was for a larger quantity. And they didn't include making threaded holes in that price :/ Even though it clearly shows on the drawing. 186-190 is closer to what can be done.

But, this is producing the part. Then add shipping to me maybe adds 10-15 for each. Then I would want to turn some profit. I mean why would I be putting time into shipping out things to people for free or even at loss?

So just saying the end cost is not 150 so don't get hopes up on that

Anyways I will have them machined for myself first, test fit etc. Then I can come up with an end price.

I'm also developing other things. Like front control arms. I would like to make a titanium/alu combination. I will show my idea/design product for that here also.

btw. I tried to 3d print the engine mount to be able to test fit it first but the printer failed 1/3 way through 3 times now(think my printing settings must be really off somewhere) Soo eff it Im having them machined and if it doesnt fit I'll have a nice really expensive candle holder xD

latest verison of this assembly is 1.330 grams

So thats about 3200g/ 7.2 lbs weightsave over stock.

Compare that to for example carbon fiber fenders, which are only 5 lbs total weightsave over stock and costs 600$

Good work Ange, this is getting really interested. Maybe you could check with 3SX or Ninja performance if the would be willing in buying a few of these. That would get the price down.

playing around with other ideas.. rough mock up of front lower control arms... about 1600g or 3.6lbs each.. Stock control arms are 10.5 lbs each... So that's a potential 13.8 lbs total weight reduction

still need to figure out some bolt-on attachement solution to replace the swaybar links

if someone asks, reason for why I use a bolt-on solution for this is because titanium is super expensive to have someone weld. And I think this bolt-on solution works just aswell.

Unlogic: yes maybe later just need to testfit on my car first.

And I should note that I don't really do this with main intention of selling. I do it because I enjoy it and I like to mess around and modify/improve(?) things on my own car. Don't believe the 3s platform is geat for that anyways and if I was out after making money I wouldn't let you know about the production costs

Why not just regular tubular control arms?

You could make a hole in the A-arm to use the rear sway bar style end links. That would be easy enough, wouldn't it?

    because... I'm not a welder

and titanium is a better material, has better weight/strength ratio

and I can mess around in catia, send parts to china and have it sent to my door without any effort.

    that's why...

but, by all means if you can weld cheap I can send tubular drawings to you and you can weld it up for me

pretty sure tubular steel would weigh more than my solution anyways...
