Once I install 8:1 pistons, I will be more brave, but I am running 10:1 at the moment so I am not in the experimenting mood... I leave the experimentation to others and then I learn form their mistakes and try not to repeat them.

The bracing is the 4 small L shaped brackets that mount to the side of the 2 bolt blocks, 4 bolt blocks don't have them.
The stock EGT sensor may be related to the active exhaust system, off hand. Guess on my part.

I would imagine with this build that the biggest concern would be the torque pushing the girdle, but likely wouldn't be a real concern on just 15Gs.

    Let's hope so...

I can tell you guys now, the EGT sensor in the GTO isn't any help for tuning or safety, it's purely there to indicate when the catalyst overheats.

Didn't Chris do something to beef those up? I remember him doing something to help keep the girdle from getting pushed.

Chris' solution is studs made out of a stronger material to replace the 8 main bolts, it doesn't address the four small L shaped brackets.

Just asked Chris though, who built high power NA stuff, you can't use the two bolt tt main studs as the bolts are different.

Don't believe so, or at least when I bought mine it didn't (3sx does). At any rate, not an option for him any way.
