    Chris's STM Built Evo RS

In the Evo community the story behind Chris's 04 Evo RS is well known, first 4g63 to hit a 9 in the quarter mile with a stock bottom end on an FP Red, but there is always room for improvement.

The head has NEVER been off this car!

Here is a video from his FP Red set-up:

(There are a lot of "inside" jokes in the video, but definitely one of the best! Props to Brian Gleason for the editing skills!)

There was some competition to get to that 9 second pass... This car got there first with a 9.99 @ 140, but no more than 12 hours later, the time was beat by an Evo from Georgia hitting a 9.95@138 with an FP Black...

So we are on a mission to get that record BACK!

Chris, being first and foremost like family to us, is also a very dedicated customer. He puts his full trust in STM and while he is off serving the good old USA... it's time for his second family in the states to fab up something new.

So we decided it was time to go balls to the wall and get it done! In went the STM Forward Facing 6262 turbo kit, bringing this car up 90 peak HP and well over 100 hp @ 7500 RPM from the FP Red set-up and the 9.9 @ 140...

    And, yes, STILL STOCK BLOCK!

Still running the same 33 psi on E85... and wanting more!

Let's get this bad boy to a track!

What's the mod list for the car? I'm curious what it takes to produce that kind of power from an EVO besides the obvious FP Red turbo.

Yes. 9.9 with 460 whp on our dyno. Our dyno reads very low. The car weighs about 2850 with me in it.

wow. 2850! I really need to get an evo! A 3S would only be mid to low 11s with some weight reduction

Do you mind sharing the weight reduction mods?

See my signature, my TT weighs 2740

About Chris's car, it is an RS model which means its a little lighter to start with. It comes from the factory with no a/c, radio or speakers, no wing on the back, no sound deadening in the car at all, no abs i thnk thats about it.
Here is his build thread that got the car to where it was before the turbo upgrade. There are pics of everything done for the most part.

Great work by the way. You guys are f'n serious about drag racing!

I looked through that thread on the evo build. Did the stock interior go back in? I like the idea of stock looking to the untrained eye, but be much lighter.

What's the specs on the rims/tires you are running on the evo and TT? Would they fit over the stock brakes on a 1st gen?

All of these STM threads are swaying me towards ditching the creature comforts and making my car more purposeful instead of an all-arounder
