    Pikes Peak Airstip Attack

    Had so much fun today!
Went a best of 156.68 mph in the half mile.

Even got interviewed from the local paper.

A few things learned from the event...
One, should have used the launch control. Even though it's a half mile long, it goes by quick. A slight rev and go is wasted time and I just bogged the crap out of it with the twin disc. I'd bet my 60 foots were well over 2 seconds, wasted time and space. I even had it set but just didn't use it. Lesson learned for me..

Ran the whole day at 24~ish psi. Back to backed a couple of runs and on the last one I pushed coolant. Time to do the head lift fix. I should have done this when the motor was out but wanted to see if I could still get lucky without needing it. Nope. About 700hp and it flexed. Running Evans NPG-R and never even went over 200 degrees, it just got pressurized and went out the bottle overflow.

The dry sump system worked awesome! With 50wt oil, 7500 rpm, had a max of 110 psi oil pressure. Plenty to say the least.

Fun day for sure. Go out and do this one guys! It's even self tech, you can run passengers, really laid back event.

It really is! The wife was there as well and on occasion my daughter too.
My son was riding the pit bike all over the paddock area and I think he got more attention than I did. LOL

You guys should all do these events. Super mellow, self tech, just run it. Loads of fun for everyone.
