First off, let me start by saying we ALL knows that Trek > Wars, and everyone who hasn't believed that since at least Phantom Meance is a nincompoop.
Moving on. I'd like to proudly announce that I have officially watched. EVERY. MOVIE. EVERY. EPISODE. OF EVERY TREK SHOW. EVER MADE. In fact, the only thing I have left to watch is pr0n parodies and fan-fiction shows/movies. That's right. TOS, TAS, TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT, and all 12 movies.
Honestly though, let me explain WHY everyone should feel that Trek > Wars. Wars is simply fantasy fiction in outer space. It might as well be LOTR or something else, that's entertaining, but does little else. Trek on the other hand, has a message. The best Trek episodes ever, are almost unilaterally the ones that use the show as a "separate-from-reality" backdrop against which to hold a mirror up to the human condition and ask us to introspect. Chain of Command, The Inner Light, Let that Be your Last Battlefield, Dear Doctor, The Drumhead, Dragon's Teeth, The Visitor, etc--there are countless episodes that will grip you emotionally and/or force you to take a deep long look at who you are as a person (or who WE are as a race).
This is why I miss Trek shows more than anything else. Yes, I love the sci-fi piece of it, but even more than that--I love when Trek calls us out and holds us accountable for our own lives. Episodes like Chosen Realm are priceless in their ability to reflect what is happening around us currently with Islam. Long Live Trek.
