    NG 2015 parking lot help

    I know Chris won't be there, and it also looks like Hans is not attending, but I think I need my clutch adjusted before I get on the track in Bowling Green. Is there anyone attending who might be able to do this for me? I've never done it myself and I don't want to screw it up right before making a 1000 mile trip. I'll have tools with me, so I just need someone who's comfortable doing the adjustment. Thanks!

Corbeau Leather seats, carbon fiber dash trim and HID upgrade.

    Its pretty easy Tom, just a pair of pliers and a 12mm wrench

    If you are talking about adjusting the pedal free play it is fairly simple. The best way I found to do it is to loosen the locknut and measure the free play from the floor. You basically just use your finger and press the pedal until you hit resistance.

    I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I do know they are in the owner's manual. I think NA is 5/8", but please verify that before you take me for my word since it's been a few years since I looked at them.

    If I had some time, I would try and do it myself, but I'm working 54 hours between now and Monday, and when I'm not working, I need to do plugs and wires, pads and rotors and new pillar gauges. If I some how get all that done and still have time, I'll give it a shot.

    Honestly, you could probably do it in a few minutes. The hardest part is getting situated under the dash to get at the adjustment rod.

    It's very easy, except us old guys don't get under the dash as good as we use to. I'd be happy to do it though.

    What makes you think you need it? If it was set right before you might just be due for a clutch.

    Alan I'll try and remember to bring my line wrench and we can swap that in a few minutes. Just need to bleed the brakes afterwards.
