Why is it that when I talk to non Mitsubishi people, they seem to not understand what VSS is, and instead say, "oh you mean valve guide seals..."
Are we talking apples to apples here?
Technically it seals the valve stem so VSS is correct, but you could argue they fit over the guide as well.
What does Mitsu manual call them?.
I work on bikes and always refer to them as VSS with no issues?.

I guess the VSS fits on the end of the valve guide. Mitsubishi calls them Valve Stem Seals, just like we don't have lifters, we have lash adjusters.
That's what somebody else in the platform told me.
Different names for the same thing. Call it whichever you choose.![]()
