    Turbo SOHC runs 12's

Threw 15 year old 24.5x8x15" MT slicks on my daily driver and dropped from 13.8@108 on street tires to 12.9@106

Pretty fun. Haven't made a full pass on slicks since 2009 though my daily is a lot slower than I am used to. Just wanted to prove to myself that it would run a 12 without trying very hard.

10 pounds of boost and regapped chrome rings.

Nice! I think you might of surprised some of the people there

I think I've seen a pic of your car before but this is the 1st time I've really seen it I guess you could say. It's not going to win an award for looks but damn what a sleeper. I bet you have made plenty of people feel real bad about their car. lol

My dedicated fun car ("The Junkyard") was worse before this car went rusty top, but its does at least get rinsed off. The car in the video was loosing its paint when it was 2 years old and never rusted until it started living outdoors. I had wanted to paint it (why the trunk is black) then I didn't have time to finish that idea. Now I kinda like how terrible it looks. I love the mold the most. I do have to avoid touching the car on a rainy day. Yuck.

Pretty sure I could make this one touch 11's with some race gas and glory passes on the stock regapped longblock. It won't handle another psi of boost right now on the stock timing and no alky injection. Pushes coolant on the dyno over 12psi (280whp @ 12psi, 260 @ 10psi) so I drive/race on 10psi. Sweet copper fire ring Felpro headgaskets seal right back up. The ring gaps should handle a lot of abuse. I had to rebuild this motor with a new block after it shattered a piston towing The Junkyard to the racetrack on a giant hill. 10psi and leaned out while towing up the hill due to an economy trick I forgot to turn off on my wideband. I thought it was real cool doing the speed limit up a steep grade until boom. Drove race car to the track 1 mile away, failed tech. AAA took my tow car home, friend took my dolly and race car home. Opened the gaps up .002 more. I took the tow hitch off to race a year ago but only made a pass now.

~3100 with me in the car. Not sure anymore. Last time I had an accurate weight on that car was 13 years ago. I think it got heavier with 3" exhaust and a turbo setup. Pulled about 50 pounds of interior out to race, no spare or jack. Its probably just a little lighter than a FWD 3/S. My littler/lighter car would go a lot faster on the same HP down here at sea level.
