Help me locate my new DD! Vehicross!

411: I'm moving. Looks like SLC. Have been balancing the budget and stuffs, and my dream of owning an SLK AMG--while possible, isn't fiscally prudent. So I'm officially beginning my hunt for the #2 vehicle on my "want to DD" list.

So to any of our members out west (or actually anywhere), I'm officially on the hunt for an Isuzu Vehicross. Utah, obviously would be easiest to swing, but I'm flexible. Heck, I'll ship it if it's worth it. Bear in mind that they sold < 5,000 of these in the USA, so they're still very much like hen's teeth--even though they usually sell for <$8,000. Please don't debate me on what I want--my mind's set. I am simply requesting YOUR help (all of you 3sgto buddies) to help me possibly locate/buy one.

I won't be stateside before August, so it may well end up that I have to buy/store it temporarily--and I'm ok with that. Since I probably won't be available to make the purchase in person (which isn't a huge deal for me), it would be nice to have someone who can "kick the tires". If that also means that I can coordinate small repairs to the vehicle--prior to my picking it up--that may also be helpfull; I will need it pretty much 100% ready to go on road trips--right away.

So I'm imploring you guys/gals to help me out--and find me one that's relatively minty. Miles doesn't really matter (though < 150,000 is preferrable). I'd like the interior/exterior to be at least 8/10. I fully expect to have/keep this vehicle for 10+ years. Budget is very flexible, but if it's over $10,000, it needs to be pristine in every respect. And of course (hey, it's me IPD), it needs to be ATX.

I'm not opposed to paying a finder's fee--but that's open to negotiation.

I seen one of these in the shop this weekend and I didn't know wtf it was lol. Not sure of the condition or mileage, but its located here in Louisiana at my dealer. Let me know if you want me to try to check it out. I'm also putting in my 2 weeks on Monday to move to another dealer so time is ticking.

Interested...but again, depends on condition.

P.S.
for those who don't know, they're the sports-car of the off-road world. Not designed to go rock crawling, but rather go extremely fast over off-road terrain (baja, etc).

2001 Isuzu VehiCROSS , $7,499 - Cars.com

That one is in VA, don't know if there are any members near it. Seems high on the price for the miles, but looks to be in good shape.

Good luck, I know what it's like trying to find an oddball car. I'm a fan of the Orange Mazdaspeed protege of which they only made 600 of. I've had two of them lol.

Thanks. Yeah, a tad high for > 150k, but not bad. I'm kinda liking the one in Chicago I posted, but I dunno if anyone is nearby to check it out.
