How to replace rubber strip above rear hatch glass on 91 Stealth TT?

I have a 91 Stealth TT and the rubber strip above the back hatch glass is brittle and cracked. Anyone ever replaced this before? If so, any suggestions?

I don't really have any experience with this, but my 95 3000GT is doing the same thing. You should be able to just buy a replacement - on mine it's wrapped around a piece of steel/aluminum and that piece is held on by clips that pop off.

I haven't had to do it before, but from looking at it I would assume that you pop off the washer nozzle then the whole piece can slide off in either direction. Now since it is cracked and brittle you may have to tear it off but be careful not to bend the metal underneath or else you wont be able to install the new piece.

edit: Here is a link to the part on 3SX, looks like there are clips holding it on.

Yeah IIRC sliding it off is the best way to do it without breaking the clips. Then you remove the clips from the hatch, refit to the strip and clip it straight back on. Last time I pulled one off was about 4 years ago, I remember it being a bit of a dick.
