Racing seats, what are you running and what bracket/ mounting modifications? Comfort?

I'm in between going with a set of Sparco Corsa's or Sparco Tornio's. Caught in the middle of weight vs. comfort. What aftermarket seats are you guys going with and are they comfortable? Are you using stock seat mounts and fabbing plates, buying slider rails and modifying them, fabbing your own brackets? Any pics or opinions would be big help on making a decision.

    Thanks ahead guys.

Sparco Torinos on Wedge Engineering mounting plates with sliders. I've done 1000 miles in a day in those seats without any issues. Very comfortable!!! I've had the seats for over 10 years now and they hold up very well.

They suck. Because I can't reach the pedals when I sit in them.

I have a Corbeau fx1 pro or whatever and bought the mounting bracket for it. Though i havent been able to install it for a year becaise of the car just now getting to a racing condition.

I did notice the bracket doesnt have a seat belt mount so you may want to make sure whatever one you get has one because ill have to fab one.

You can barely reach the pedals with stock seats.

    lol dude.

I dont currently have them but I am planning on picking up some leather Recaros from an Evo w/the SSL package. They aren't too difficult to bolt up, look and feel awesome...they're just difficult to find, especially for a good price.

Are they only a few inches from touching the ceiling? They were WAY too big and I had the same setup.

Yea, they sat up pretty high. With a helmet on, my head was grazing the roof.

I had the adapters for the sliders cut as small as possible to give me the most headroom.

I think I'm going to have to reconsider the Torino seats after looking at those pics. I think I'll be too close to the ceiling and temple height with the rollbars for a future cage.

Can those be dropped any or is that the fixed height with the slider?

I've yet to see any Corbeau setups, anyone have any?

The sparcos have the sliders, then an adapter bracket set, and then the mounting plate to match your car. The adapter brackets can be used to raise or lower the seat height. I don't recall how close to the ceiling mine were (they are out of the car right now). I know mine was sitting at the lowest possible setting without having the do some welding (which would have allowed for another 1/2" of clearance).
