I also had an XTD, and even though they are considered the "Ebay" clutch, mine worked flawlessly as well. Pedal was stiff as hell though. Never felt one that stiff in my life! (giggity!)

Its a bit chattery when you engage it and dont pay attention but I DD it as its not so bad.

Would probably be even better if i didnt have solid front/rear mounts
This is the exact setup I have and it's not too bad. It is a bit of an on off switch but you can get acclimated pretty quick. The problem I have is I have the NA slave and master without a booster so the TT clutch is a bit of a bitch. You can see the firewall move out more than a half inch when I press the clutch!

I sort of miss the sprung clutch but probably what I'm really missing is a clutch booster lol. One thing to consider is I'm sure the un-sprung will be harder on the trans. If you don't like a puck I have a feeling you wouldn't like a FF un-sprung.

I have one of those sitting on a tool cart in my garage. Tried selling it but no real interest. It's a great setup.

Was it you or arm0red1 that recommended Rochester? I had contacted somebody on 3si about it. They did a great job.

    I loved my Spec 4+!.

Now on solid mounts with an OS Giken R3C tripple cerametalic, now that's an interesting drive!.

Do you have the stock clutch booster? This is the clutch I will be installing in the next month or so.

Mind explaining the reasoning why it's harder on the trans? Just because there is no cushion on engagement? I was under the impression it would be easier on the synchros if it is lighter (I would assume no springs is lighter).
