Think buying used it about your only option. As I recall, Mitsu doesn't offer the axles anymore either.

mitsu never offered the rears as a complete unit, only as individual parts, which all together would work out to be like $600+ per side.

Oh I have the skill to rebuild it However it's more than just a torn boot. Inner drivers boot has been MIA since I bought the car 5 years ago Only now has it finally begun to make noise. Those CV joints are quite strong when run dry. With the bearing damage done to it I need to replace it.

the drivers inner boot was torn on mine recently as well. I just removed the 4 outer bolts, and pulled the inner bearing from the cup (leaving the cup still installed in the diff so no fluid loss). took about an hour using replacement boots from the parts store (beck arnley exact fit, not the universal crap). hardest part was making sure the clamp was tight enough on the inner boot to the cup in the car.

Part number and source for rear inner axle boots? Are the inner and outer boots different parts numbers for the rear?

Inner boots are Beck/Arnley 103-2855 (also listed for the front inner)
    Outer boots are Beck/Arnley 103-2260

I ordered them all from Oriellys but should be able to order them from any place that carries Beck/Arnley
