Thread: NA Dash Harness in a TT

  1. #11
I'm keeping ECS, I think. I like the idea of being able to swap suspension profiles electronically. I'm setting this thing up for end game build, which means 6G74, with 6G75 crank, etc. Any suggestions on things I might have overlooked while I'm finishing up the design for the dash? E-Manage Ultimate v2, defi gauges, two for EGT and the third for oil pressure, a blackstealth digital gauge that measures boost, coolant temp, knock, and wideband O2, a greddy turbo timer that measures the voltage. I think tahts everything. Any other suggestions gents? Anything I've missed? It almost sounds like it would just be better to buy the VR-4 harness and play it safe. Your thoughts?

For what it's worth, looking through ASA, looks like all DOHCs share the same interior/body and dash harness. (Number MR337350)
Mods: 2g 3k body conversion, 2g Brake upgrade, Rota P45R rims
Projects: Interior sound deadening, 14Bs, forged bottom end, custom radiator and sound mounts

REALLY. Interesting...... I appreciate you looking into it man. I'll just use the NA one then. Thanks much. Any other suggestions for a 6G74/75 build while I have the whole thing in pieces?

You're onto it, some interesting things I've noticed with dash harnesses though if anyone's interested:
-Automatic transmission vehicles use a different harness, the cluster plugs are missing the pins and wiring for the gear position lights.
-There is a change in turn signal/hazard light wiring between 1st and 2nd gen and they are not compatible without modification
-2nd gen harnesses don't operate popup lights without modification
