Going into open loop way early/high load, low throttle?

I just recently got my car up and running with a basic tune. Not much really done, just scaled the injectors, input injector voltage latency, slightly adjusted the startup fuel trims per the chromedecu website (550cc injecors, so I multiplied all the trims by ~2/3, shouldn't affect driving anyways), NLTS, and a few other small, inconsequential things. Everything drives pretty good, except my partial throttle (~25-45ish %) is really rich. Looking at my O2's and the AFR on my WB, it appears I'm entering open loop, though I'm not sure why it's so early. It's like the load is just going up way too fast. I have a 3.5" GM MAF in BT and MAFT, by the way. Everything is zeroed out on it. I read that no adjustments have to be made with the MAF scaling, but something has to be up with the load. I'm at 130 load at 30 percent throttle at maybe 2000 rpms. I don't know much about what the load should be at at different points, but I know the boost gauge is supposed to just read load, and I can peg it out to 14 with only 30 percent throttle or less.

Any ideas? Log attached. I can post up my tune if needed.

The first instance of this is around row 200, by the way.

I have no personal experience with blow through, but have heard it is not as easy and I doubt a zero'd out maft and maf scaling table are going to work well.

To keep things really simple I'd start and pull 1-2 clicks out of the mid adjustment on the maft. While you are in there, confirm the other settings.

Will do when I get off work.

For reference, when I was just using an SAFC with the MAFT, it worked fine. Only since it's been flashed, but nothing has changed other than scaling and voltage latency that should affect drivability.

Any other opinions at all? Anybody know what a reasonable load for light to moderate acceleration is? Around 30% throttle?

I've got nothing to do but read for the next 4 hours.

On my EMU I come out of closed loop at 30% throttle (which is 0psi/ atmospheric).

You need to tune the tables rather than leaning on the closed loop to sort it out

I found my car drove significantly better with 0psig load line set to 13:1 afr.

I also considered that, but I figured it's not right because the load has never gone up that fast before. So I figured something was wrong that I needed to correct.

Gump, I'll go take the car for a test drive in a minute. I adjusted the MID knob a couple clicks last night after work, but I was too tired to take a drive. I didn't get home until after 2 and I just now woke up.

Alright. I went out and checked the knobs. I looked at the manual and noticed zero on base and aux sets it for DSM 430 injectors. I'm assuming that's a problem, so I fixed it and set it to 3s 360 injectors. I figured it'd go rich because 360 injectors are smaller than 430, but it went way lean. Like, barely running lean (22ish). The only thing I can assume that's because of is that 430x4 is 1720cc fuel and 360x6 is 2160cc fuel, so total fueling is less. That's only a guess, though.

Now, my scaling is way off, so I'll have to scale down my injectors to get it running right. So, that's weird, but if it works, it works. I was going to set them to 500s and see where that gets me.

Anybody that can confirm or make sense of what I'm seeing?

Well, don't ask me how this makes sense, but I went through and scaled my injectors in the ROM down until I finally got my O2s to cycle well and everything has been fixed. I get what seems to be appropriate load and TPS signals when I enter closed loop, at 2500 rpms it was around 80% throttle and 120 load or so.

The weird part? My injectors had to be scaled all the way down to 431cc. Before it's asked, I have no boost leaks. I made sure of it, rebuilt TB, new gaskets, and pressure tested to 30psi and no leak, so I don't exactly get it. But, whatever. If it works, I'm happy. Also, they are new Delphi 550cc from 3sx, so it's not like they're dirty and not flowing well. So, yeah. Don't ask me. It worked and that's all I know.

    Thanks everybody for the help.

Where are you getting your latencies from?
