    Your fucken kidding me right?

HIDs last many many years and should outlast your Silverstars 10-1. Ive HIDs in my Lexus that are 12 years old now and have never changed the blubs. Tell me now in 12 years yours are cheaper!!!

Im sure hids will outlast the silverstars. Im not going to argue that. My point is not everybody wants to deal with the hasle of switching to h.i.d.s. on cars that come with sealed beams. Alot of people want something that is less of a hassle. Plus yeah, hids may outlast silverstars but it doesnt mean that there horrible. Alot of people are saying theres never lasted very long. Well facts are ive been running these over a year. Its just a matter of time though till they burn out but so far they have been pretty good.

that kit includes the whole thing : bulbs, wires, ballasts, igniters. you basically unplug the exisiting halogen bulb, plug the wiring on the existing wiring, mount the ballast/igniters, pop in the HID bulb and thats pretty much it. for 50 bucks for a complete kit vs a pair of halogen bulbs, output-wise, it is a bargain. its literally you open the box, plug in everything together, remove your old bulb, plug the power from the old bulb to the power socket of the kit, put everything in place and fire it up.

but yes, with a sealed beam housing, you would likely need to retrofit. you may choose not too, like a lot of people who use aftermarket HID kits nowadays, but you should if you want a sharp light cutoff. i see tons of accords, camrys, civics, tacoma trucks, tahoes, etc - basically all manner of regular cars being swapped with HID and cops simply look the other way. sure they spit out a ton of glare - and im guilty of this myself as I upgraded my fogs to HID, but you cant argue with the cost-vs-output bargain you get.
