    1999 3000gt vr4 $$18,500

    1999 $ $18,500

I've decided it's finally time to move on. There's just no sense in owing a car I hardly drive. Can't even justify paying the rent on the garage the car is stored in anymore.

What you see here is the way a car should be done. No cut corners. Nothing half assed. Many people dream about building a car from the ground up. Here's your chance for one done for cheaper than you can do it on your own.

The car has gone 1300 care-free miles since I completed the restoration. My trip to Pittsburgh to NG and back netted me 27 mpg on the free way with a smooth ride and perfect working AC/cruise control. The car pulls strong with no hesitations or hiccups.

    107k miles
    Clean and clear title
Classic PA tags (which stay with the car if you're a PA resident)
    Minor paint flaws
Car passes OBD2 inspections without issue
Perfect condition interior minus a blown passenger door speaker (which I will probably replace before the sale)
    BPU mods
    SSR GT2 wheels
    Stop Tec brakes
    IPS exhaust with 2 mufflers
Flashed ECU with Chrome V2 w/ ECU controlled boost
    Corbeau seats
Montero Infinity stereo w/10" Polk sub in a custom box
    Intrax springs

This thread should answer any questions you would have. Spend some time reading the details. A lot of time and care was poured into this build.

Need to get $18,500. That's my bottom dollar.

(BTW yes you CAN get financing for the car as its considered a rare collectors car. Many big banks and insurance companies are more than willing to work with you.)

    Beautiful Greg!!

    Good luck, with the sale.

    She is priced very reasonably.

FYI, to those looking, if you buy this car, get collector car insurance to go with it, it will cost you about half of normal insurance and you can set a guaranteed value on the car.

Someone will be very lucky to own this. Greg is very meticulous, and you can see that in the build thread.

I have "normal" car insurance currently with a declared value of $25,000 and an appraisal. Didn't want to deal with all the mileage restrictions typical classic car insurance companies throw at you. However, given my mind set is this car is "too nice to drive" it seems I could have been saving some $$.

I'm on collector insurance and the mileage limit hasn't been an issue yet.

Greg, this is probably the best deal I have ever seen on a car of this caliber.

Wish I was in shape to scarf it up.

Kinda OT but what does this mean for Chrome? You knew it was gonna get asked sooner or later...

The hang up with the next version of Chrome is the difficulty in tuning various setups (aftermarket MAFs and/or SD). The demand for an easy tuning solution has been something I have been trying to get around for the last year and a half. The key advantage to the flash ECU is its simple plug and play fun. Going beyond that requires a large degree of patience and trial and error on the part of the user. This is all mainly due to the hardware limitations of the flash ECU. I've written code to do some pretty cool shit. But 98% of the current chrome users don't even use the features available now. Let alone any new ones I've been working on.

As for the effect of selling the car on development. Honestly, if I continue with it, there's plenty of you guys out there to test for me.

After switching to a Gen2 Translator(thanks Jeff!) from an EVO MAF I'm content. You wont hear me asking about SD anymore..! Only thing that would be really useful now would be flex fuel compensation...otherwise for me as a 500+whp car weekend driven car, chrome fits the bill just fine.

Exactly. Your story matches many others. The MAF limitation of chrome has always easily been compensated for with the good ole MAFT. That's even Rays favorite setup.

At any rate, I need to sell my car. Would prefer to keep this thread on that topic.
