    Jesters ECU flash error

I have a Jester's Chromed ECU. I can datalog with my Backstealth LCDBC, in HandHeldHalo and EVOScan.

The ECUFlash program 1.422595 sees my Tacktrix cable but when I attempt to flash the ECU I get the following error. Any ideas??

    Thanks in advance.

Stupid question but I have to ask.

Is your ignition on? Is your flash wire hooked up?

Yes to both. I verified that this is a V2 of the 91-93 Chromed ECU, checked the pins (all 4). The OBD1 to 2 adapter seems solid, the flash (headphone jack) wire is connected. I get lights on the tactrix plug. Tried flashing with the car on (14volts, to eliminate power issues).

I did try a few versions of ECUFlash, I manually removed the drivers when I went back to 1.422595. I am using Win 7 and installed and run as an admin. As you can see in the screen grab the software sees the flash adapter.... Frustrating...

Whats the best way to test the yellow flash wire and test the cable?

    Thanks!!

OK, you can connect to evoscan with the adapter?
if so its your stereo plug.
    Check it.

Yes I can log in Ecoscan. So any tests I can do to see if it's the tactic end of the plug?

I have seen a couple times it was the tactrix cable itself.
But try messing with the stereo plug.
ie: Pull the stereo plug out a tiny bit and try and read/flash it.

If you can't get anything I can test your cable and adapter.

I was trying to figure this out myself for the last few days, saw this thread, and sure enough pulling the stereo flash cable out slightly from the Tactrix did the trick!

Problem SOLVED! After hours of playing with ECUFlash versions and drivers I am happy to share that the Tacktrix cable was the cause. After fiddling with the stereo flash plug it works. As slickwheel says above, the key is to NOT push the plug in all the way. ARGH!!! So simple.

New 482 MAF and injectors are in!
Thanks all! Now to solve my idle issues, LOL.
