    reading 1999 ecu

How do I Read the image on my 1999 euro ECU and save it before writing Chrome onto it.
I would like to see what is on the original and save the file just in case I make an error
can I just plug my existing harness onto the 99 ecu
or do I have to have flash cable attached to the diagnostic port OBD1,if so what would the pin number be to connect to
I do not want to reflash as yet just to read
    many thanks Martin

I already saved an image of your 1999 Euro ECU. However, if you like to save a copy do this:

1 - Plug in Tactrix into OBD2 socket
2 - Plug in flash wire/connector (stereo type plug) into Tactrix.
3 - Plug in Tactrix USB cable to notebook
4 - Turn ignition to ACC
5 - Run ECUflash software, read from ECU, and save.

Your conversion harness will include an OBD2 connector and flash wire stereo plug.
