ETACS question??

mine went bad and i'm looking to get a new one. my question is are they all interchangeable or is it split between 1st and 2nd gen?? i have a '92 TT if that matters.

Just get the part number off the one on your car and make sure you get the same one. There could be differences even within the same year on those.

I don't believe it's the year that matters as much as the options you have. Power locks, windows, alarm, things like that. I'm not sure if the pop up lights make a 1st gen/2nd gen difference but even if it does there's more to it than year alone. You're best bet is to find the part number and look for another one of those. Good luck!
