Chromed ECU plug n' play quick question on initially obtaining the ROM

Yes. There are two main threads on tuning. Read them, read them again, and once you have done that read them a couple more times. There s a lot of info to absorb, and you won't get it done reading once or twice.

You should also follow the links in them about ecu flash, evoscan, and others as there is a gold mine of info in them.

Yes! read through it 1.5 times, somehow missed the youtube links, will be watching these tonight, and reading the threads once again. Will be installing tonight as soon as I figure out the mess that the MAFT-Pro left of my wiring, ugh.

I emailed Jester, hopefully I get a response by the time everything is installed.

Sorry, I didn't realize I didn't mention it was purchased from 3sx. It specifically shows in the description that V2 is installed, and also from the description "Receive Download Link with Purchase for the Most Recent Version of the Chrome ROM at No Extra Cost". No big deal as long as I can download the rom straight from the ECU and save it, but as Forest Gump said, I will still need the definition xml file for the rom, and for evoscan. I can't find the info anywhere, the only mention of them is if you purchase the rom, you get the rom, and the two definition files, but with it pre-installed, no definition files are included. Are the definition files not publicly available?

There should have been a link to the files in your order confirmation from 3SX.

as far as I can tell he bought it from jester and as far as I know Jester donates to chrome for each ecu purchased. Is that not the way it works anymore?

Again, I should have mentioned it was purchased from 3sx, but I did read somewhere that the cost includes the donation for Greg.

Okay, I called 3sx, they sent me to Chromed ECU | Chrome ROM and said that when you go to purchase the rom, there will be info on providing proof of purchase, and the files will be available ......... nope, unless I'm blind, which is very possible. Does everyone have to go through this? This seems a bit excessive.
