    New stablemate

    We sold our '06 Sonata.

She looks damn good IMO for a 141,000 miles.

    Purchased in 2009 for $8,500.

Since then we've put over 80K miles on Midna and sold her for $3,100. Not to bad for a quick 1 day sell.

Now for what we replaced her with, a 2013 FJ Cruiser Trail Edition.

We've been looking at and wanting an FJ since we test drove one back in 2011 and we finally pulled the trigger.

    WOOT!

Tiffany is just a little bit excited.

She doesn't have a name yet, Tiffany figures she will be able to name her after we take the FJ on her maiden off road trail.

Thanks. We are really liking it so far.

We were checking out camping trailers last night. That is still a year + off, but that is the long term goal of getting the little truck. Camping and I want to get a track car (probably Miata) in the future and this can tow it.

Here are a couple pics from the first day we test drove her.

Love the FJ's. They hold their value so, so, well. Congrats John & Tiffany!

The VR-4 and a trailer would be getting pretty close to the tow limit on the FJ. haha Darn shorter wheel base.

    They really do.
We picked up our 2013 Trail Teams with 21K miles on her for 25% less than a brand new 2014 Trail Teams. But it cost the same as a 2012 and a 2011 trail teams. They take that initial hit, then just level out.
Then we saw a 2007 base FJ with over 100K miles on it was only 23% less than a brand new 2014 base.

We're planning on keeping this one for a long time, but it looks like when we do go to sell her we will do very well. Especially with the 2014 being the final year for them in the states.

4runner, Tacoma, and fj's hold value. Fj's are in their last year of production so I'm sure it will not drop its value any time soon. Great purchase.
