Ok so as I was getting my car tuned we stopped to update the tune on the AEM, turned it back on and a horrible grinding noise started. I cannot remember if it was doing it as the tune was going on and it progressively got worse. The noise seems to be coming from the bell housing area. When you press the clutch pedal in you can feel a little vibration, binding type feel in it. While driving it is RPM related, does the grinding under load but not there during decel or at least from what I can hear. If I am parked, foot on the brake, in first gear and the car is NOT moving, while slipping the clutch I can get it to make the horrible noise. The videos I have are not that great quality but if someone wants me to post it I will.
I have replaced the following....
Transmission as well as pulled mine apart to check everything, no signs of grinding or metal flakes
Transfer case
Rear end
Clutch
Flywheel
TOB
Pressure plate
I have drained the oil in my engine and there was not 1 sign of metal flakes or shavings.
I really do not know where to go from here, timing is dead on, the plugs are all tight (checking for anything stupid)
Again, this noise is made while the car is parked and load is put on it so the driveshaft and axles are not spinning.
I have been in touch with Chris Hill a lot with this problem and he is confused as well
I also should add that most of my transmission bolts were backed out from vibration except 2 in the rear.
