A lot of 3S fans have tried sending in letters, I doubt a handful of letters will be enough for them to spend the millions it would take to build a new car.

wow are their sales really that bad here in this country that they would consider pulling out of the market? why don't they try to just reinvent them selves? most car companies make the most money on mini vans and 4 door sadans maybe this is what mitsu needs a restyled revamped sedan and a mini van or two. give them a few years and they will be ahead again.

Mitsu market share in USA is 0.52%. Lexus, a sub brand, has 1.85%, kia has 3.62%.

    Yea, its that bad.

Yeah there have been rumors that Mitsubishi Motors might axe the US division for a while. Mitsu makes plenty of money on other stuff, selling cars is a pretty small section of their market.

Again, as I tried to tell you in chat the other night, it is going to take far more than a few years to get ahead.

well I never looked into the statistics of it all but yea that's really bad especially if they do worse then kia. kias are not even that great of cars, build quality is still somewhat subpar on them.

Yes, but for the price and the 10 year 100k mile warranty, everyone seems to love them. We are also using Mitsubishi designed parts remade a little differently by Kia/Hyundai so they aren't too many problems with them as long as they are maintained and not abused.

we love our 2012 sportage. 81000 miles on it and haven't needed anything but oil changes, air filters, and finally wore out the stock tires the other day.

What exactly is subpar about the build quality? All the interior and external panels still line up great and we haven't had a single mechanical, electrical, or any issue at 81,000 miles. No interior wear that I can tell, it is literally exactly the same as the day we picked it up with 6 miles on it.

Newer Kia's can't be compared to the older ones sold in the early 2000's. They have come a long way...along with the hyundai's as well.

Kia/Hyundai build quality is above GMs at this point.
