Does injector brand matter much?

I'm looking to buy some 1000-1300cc injectors to go E85 and future-proof when I want more power. I really don't know the difference between the brands. Why are ID injectors twice the price of PTE? What's a good injector, what's a crap injector? What will work?

I like my fic 1050s. The ecu can trim to stoic and wot is very consistent and easy to tune.

I paid $400 for my pte 1000cc a few years ago..no issues here. Brand new too..they're not that cheap anymore

I'm looking on this site and I don't see any option to choose a make/model, what am I missing? I'm looking at these injectors: Racetronix - 120 lb/hr Low-Z Fuel Injector

Should I buy in a set of flow-matched 6, or is it safe to buy individually for the price discount?

I must say, Fuel Injector Clinic has great customer service and they stand by their product. I sent them some injectors this week and they had them back it me in a couple days. Flow tested, cleaned and now flowing way better than ever. I'm pretty happy. They're FIC 750's that are now flowing 840cc's at 43.5 psi!! I know, weird, but that works for me. I'm running e85 through them as of 20 minutes ago!

I'm not a delphi injector fan for high boost......the ones I've used have issues locking open or closed at high fuel pressures. That and they are really slow at low pulse widths. Mine lock at 60-65 lbs of rail pressure, I've seen engines killed by this.

First I've heard of that... They worked fine for me, and are regularly supplied with many aftermarket fuel systems for other platforms.. I ran 32psi (at 50psi base) on Delphi 75lb/hr injectors making mid 700WHP and 140MPH traps.

It's possible it may just be the Delphi 50 lb supplied with the Riva Racing kits, but IIRC the GTP forums seem to see the same issues, which is right about 62-63 lbs of rail pressure, especially at idle (Seadoo's don't use rising rate as stock), they start locking. I have a rising rate attached, but I have to push the limits to get the fueling I need, so my base is right at 60 lbs, and when it drifts a bit high, I loose 1 or 2 cylinders and have to limp back to shore to adjust.

That being said, my rail pressure under boost is about 75 psi, and they react fine as long as they are not locked before I get into boost. Once they are locked, no amount of boost seems to unlock them. But, at these pressures it is known in the community that the Bosch 48's actually flow more fuel, so they are the "go-to" injector for those of us with the Riva ECU's tuned for the Delphi 50's and want to run more boost.

Speaking of Bosch 48's, just bought some, the Riva 50's were a little too lean up top for me.
