I find it very selfish for someone to take their own life. No regard for the others that care for you, family, friends and even fans in this case.

I honestly think he has sucked for years and he has been accused of ripping off young acts. I was a big fan of Mork and Mindy when I was a kid.

It's a sad end but I can't help but think about people that really suffer and keep going on.

One of the few comedians that was funny, and good in serious roles. I really liked a lot of his work.

People all have struggles, I don't think it really matters in the grand scheme of things what they are, only that we experience them.

News like this always gives pause, but never really surprises, coming as it does from the world of entertainment.

Talent and melancholy seem to go hand-in-hand; we can only wonder which is the cart and which is the horse, I guess.

I lost my fascination with his comedy years ago, but I can't say he was incapable of entertaining me - I found most of the movie roles he had that weren't 'Robin Williams vehicles' to be pretty solid; Awakenings and Good Will Hunting come to mind.

I remember his very first appearance on HBO ("Look! The moon like a testicle hangs low in the sky...") as one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

    I think I'll miss him a bit.

    RIP, Chief.

Don't forget Dead Poet's Society. Another role he just absolutely nailed as a serious role. He was also pretty hysterical when he would appear on Whose Line Is It Anyway.

I would venture that those who are the funniest, or at least try to be, generally are the ones with the most demons. Robin relapsing into alcoholism a few years ago was likely a big indicator that something was wrong.

The world is worse off without him. Regardless of how good of a comedian he was or how good his movies were, the consistent theme is that he was a genuinely great person.

The fact that he did stuff like this is just a bonus (NSFW Language):

I take it that you meant "great" in the sense he was a good person, and he surely was that, Levi.

It seems those people tend to leave us ahead of schedule as well.
