    Calling all Videophiles

Your mission, should you choose to accept it.

Find the following features, all in 1 device:

    -LED/Laser front projector
    -1080p or higher resolution
-more than 1000 lumens (preferably over 2000)
-cost only has to be below $4,000

    GO!

    P.S.
Viewsonic Pro9000 is currently the leading candidate

Unless Viewsonic has increased their quality with their projector components. I would stay far away from them.

Good to know. If there's no other options, I might end up having to wait a couple more years. It's taking too damn long for LED tech to improve on lumen quality, and I'm not going to settle for a conventional bulb.

I wish I had room in my house for a projector. I haven't looked at them in the four years since buying my house, I had no idea they had LEDs in them!

Biggest problem for me is being overseas. Even if i wanted a 55", no freaking way I can get that shipped here without paying a grand in shipping fees. I tried 2 years ago during black friday; shipping it would have cost more than the TV itself.

The point of LED/Laser is that LED--as of yet--isn't really bright enough on its own (compared to conventional projector illumination), but the laser does help with that. The big advantage is that instead of 2000-5000 hour bulbs, we're talking 20,000-30,000 hour LEDs. So it's entirely possible that you never have to replace it.

I've never had to replace a TV or projector bulb in my life. Probably a combination of I don't spend me life in front of the TV and I tend to upgrade every 2 or 3 years.

How about the different voltage issue? If you buy one that works in Europe, it'll be useless when you get back to the land of real football.

I'm already IN the land of REAL FOOTBALL. I'm looking for something hopefully dual-voltage (like my existing TV, my laptops, etc) so that when I get back to 'muricah, I don't have to sweat it.

AWESOME! That's right up my alley. I'm gonna have to look at some reviews, but that may just be the ticket. Looking into it.

    I'll take any other suggestions!
