Some additional samples I ran across. Boosted Tuning started with virtual dyno tuning and remote tuning and just installed a dyno jet.
    A Virtual Dyno Comparison
    Taken from the website.........
Virtual Dyno (VD) is Brad Barnhill’s standalone program for plotting horsepower and torque. It was developed to give tuners and enthusiast a way to know their power without having to go to the dyno. VD is mainly based on and tested against a Dynojet Dyno in ‘Uncorrected” mode. It uses .csv files to operate, which most loggers by default already export their file format data as.

"Virtual Dyno has been compared to many Dynojet dynos and is pretty accurate, usually reading within 0-3% of a REAL Dynojet dyno. Below are some comparison tests I have conducted between VD and Real Dynojet 424 Dyno to show VDs accuracy."

    - Testing was done the same day. VD dyno pulls were within 2 hours of the real dyno pulls. The same tune was used and the car had the same boost, timing and AFR.

    Test #1

    REAL DYNO - 410hp/350tq

    VIRTUAL DYNO - avg. 411.5hp/351.5tq

    Test #2

    REAL DYNO - 427hp/383tq

    VIRTUAL DYNO - avg. 429hp/382.5tq

    Test #3

    REAL DYNO - 604hp/460tq and 600hp/452tq

    VIRTUAL DYNO - avg. 603hp/441tq

"In conclusion, Virtual Dyno proves to be pretty accurate and a reliable tool for tuning. But just as a regular dyno, Virutal Dyno is only as good & accurate as the person operating it."

Just trying to raise awareness of a good tuning tool available to anyone for free. Not trying to start a dyno war.
    1992 Kilder Green VR4 - First 4G swap in a 3S. 2.0, auto, awd. 9.65 at 143mph. Now LS swapped. 8.52 at 162.

    Governing equations are fantastic.

I like the Virtual Dyno stuff.

    Nomie, you pot stirrer!

On the flip side, auto trans does not play nice with virtual dyno. Since VD uses rpm and not vehicle speed, my rpms rise faster than speed until the converter couples. Up top, it appears to be accurate (a whopping 240awhp thru auto), but I'll never get a sense of what my real tq is down low unless I lock in the converter for a pull and hope that the tiny clutches don't slip. (not worth it.) These are tuning pulls, not 14bizzle glory pulls anyway

FYI: Blue, internal WG with two people. Red was with external WG but just spring pressure. Green External gate with some duty cycle added at 3500 and up.

Not sure how an atx works on a dynojet but with virtual dyno and logs it looks slow spooling, but it really isn't when you drive it because it shoots from any rpm to 3500 and ~10psi almost instantly and rpms still climb faster than a manual from 3500 to ~4500 when it finally starts to couple. The chart can't show how fast the rpms shoot to your peak boost. It literally skips over the "lag." Same effect when I had twin 14bs on the 3.0.

    Sorry, little off topic.

They look good on my computer, but from tapatalk on phone, the last two pics were broken. Either way, the hyperlink will take you to boosted's website where I copied everything from.

A good read and post 54 is the key to it all. I've always went off of weather station baro and have been doing it wrong for a while. Virtual dyno gives UNCORRECTED numbers. Anything you get from a dynojet with corrections is not going to line up correctly but, what you can take from VD is the power your car made that day with those conditions.

Looks at all that power under 3500 and how it drops off..Didn't know you put a roots blower on the 4G Eric

It's definitely stupidly responsive on E85 though, deceptively fast for 240awhp IMO.
