Please check that you have the most recent version of EcuFlash downloaded from the Tactrix website. The one available for download at the EvoScan website is outdated.

I'm using win 8.1 with the latest ecuflash and evoscan.
It works. Main thing that prevented me opening the bin file was where I had it located and making sure I had ecuflash user setting set to developer and had the rommetadata file pointing too.

    Glad you came by here!

If ecuflash says it can't recognize the bin file you do not have the 23862006.xml (or whatever your version is) in the ecuflash rommetadata folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\3000 gt for me, yours may differ)

The xml version and the bin file version must match to proceed without warnings automatically.

Thanks for the help guys, I think I got it worked out. I couldn't get it to work outside of x86 as Greg recommends. Checked the options in ecuflash set it to developer level and made sure it was pulling the file from the right place. so far so good! Looks like ill be able to scale my new injectors so I can get the car to 3sx Friday!
