around 900-1200 lbs depending if you have subframes still in or not.

we usually fill our shells up with additional scrap, so that's just a close estimate as to what I think they go. We usually weigh in at 2000 lbs with it filled with misc scrap (rotors, hoods, doors, etc) from other wrecked cars.

Just watch out. Some scrap yards won't take cars fully loaded with crap.

yeah, was joking about the trash
but, it would be funny to get paid for trash instead of paying to get rid of it
9 cents per lb doesn't really go far anyway

$9 a hundred goes further than youd think. I took a car in for scrap several months ago and had it filled with random crap and got over $200 out of it.

Same here! When they hauled off my 95 parts car I filled it full of old junk parts I had laying around. I even through in a broken push mower...

Got $250.00 for everything. Funny thing is I only paid $200.00 for the car! So I got tons of free parts and $50.00! Can't beat that deal.

    Check it out on Youtube!!

If its in the car, they dont care usually. All they are doing is crushing the car and taking it somewhere else to get paid for the weight. The only thing my place doesnt take is tires. If you tow it in the tires and wheels have to come off. Not a big deal.

My brother took a car that had full interior still, stuffed the trunk full of trash, put a transmission on the passenger seat, stuffed more shit in the back. then soaked the interior with a garden hose. His Cherokee struggled hauling that thing.
