Gauging interest: Titanium Rods/Nitrided 6G74 crankshafts

Post Gauging interest: Titanium Rods/Nitrided 6G74 crankshafts
I have a preliminary estimate on Titanium rods (like my current H-beam rods) that would allow me to sell them for about $3000 for a set of six rods. I am also thinking about making some "stroker" 6G74 crankshafts to put into the 6G72 block. These crankshafts would be done like the ones I did for the 6G72 cranks I did (used in my three motors and three others). The crankshafts would be good cores, checked for straightness and cracks, then turned to .005" over finish journal size. They would then be sent for cryogenic treatment and nitriding of the journals to a depth of .020" to .025". That would allow one additional "turning" of the crankshaft without going through the nitriding. This is exactly the process I used for the cranks in my car and my son's car. They have over 5K miles on each of them and both have had two head changes and two turbo changes without any issues. They also have about 30 dyno pulls on each motor and the bearings look like new. I could probably sell the "stroker" cranks for somewhere around $550 to $575 each.

Is there any interest in these?

I am going to bump this up again. 550 for a crank that is ready to bolt in for the stroker?

...and probably overkill compared to "regular" billet rods; especially on my pure pump gas build. still though....

Titanium rods are a REALLY serious upgrade, even from 4340 Forged rods. But I only envisioned them for "all out race" motors. Unlike aluminum rods, they could be used in street motors, but I wouldn't think the cost worth the "benefit" for a street set up.

So how do you plan to make it fit a 6G72 block?

Yes. But there are minimum quantity purchase requirements, usually around 40-50 pieces. That would work out to be 8 sets for a 6G74 (or 72, for that matter). As you can see, the initial investment is huge. If I could get 5 sets sold with pre-payment, it would be possible economically. Of course, I'd have to make sure of the minimum order quantities before I could even propose doing this. And before that, I'd need 5 committed purchasers.

Sorry I didn't make that clear. The crankshafts are turned to 6G72 journal size, just like the other stroker cranks out there. Once that's done, custom pistons and rods (rods can be stock 6G72 length) are required. And the block has to be ground for rod/rod bolt clearance.
