    too much fuel? mapping

story: my wife was driving behind the car the other day and she told me that she could smell fuel. I had to check this out, so we swapped places and surely the fuel smell was significant.
The cold start is surely not programmed right, when i try and hit the throttle the response isn't always immediate and it sounds like the engine is drowning. When just pumping the throttle and let go the idle goes really low.

im not that familiar with mapping with aem ems, so not sure what to adjust. Dont have the cash to go to the shop as the bill cant end up at 2k-3k$.

some ideas? tips? i put the mapping and 2 short logs as an attachment

the o2 is showing 3.715 when i check the logging i did. The ems im using is gen1 for the vr4, im not sure if you need the specific software to see files. The car is a 1992 vr4.

sometimes when i shift from 3rd to 2nd the endinge stalls, dont know if the mapping is the cause of this problem. I have changed out the IAC before thou.

3.7 what?, volts?. First thing to do is wire the gauge up so you can eye up afr on the move.

Are you sure it's not 13.7:1 afr?.

had to check cables from the boost controller gauge and the air/fuel gauge controller, and found it like this..have seen this wiring before, but didnt know then what it was for..but anyways..the white wire from the air/fuel should go to the aem ems lambda input? the pic got a little fuzzy

Edit: ok, so the reading on the gauge is showing all from 12.5 to 15.6, when engine is cold it sometimes jumps up to 15.6, and after awhile goes down to 12.5.

ok..so had a closer look. found the sensor connected properly. But found one blue wire from pin 53 going from aem ems to one of the wires coming from A/F gauge. The wire should go to +12V, but was going to EGR temp sensor pin for some reason. I know it used to be a MAF translator hooked up some time ago, and I came over some notes saying that ping 53 was for MAP/MAF..but anyways got the gauge working..just see if i cant take the car for a short drive to see what values are showing.
