    1992 Tranny issues :P

So I just purchased this 1992 VR4.. SO YAY IM BACK
    that aside
here is the problem (knew about when i purchased this car)
Has some Seattle Short shifter...its half ass installed fixed it the best i can but PO didn't reinstall the shift bushing for the bottom of the shaft
Next on cold starts there is a grinding sound from the tranny unless you press in the clutch OP thought it was the Out put shaft
but im starting to think the clutch has an issue.. It brand new i forgot what spec it is i will update when im home, but essentially the car is hard as hell to get in and out of gear. On top of that the clutch only releases right before the floor so im starting to think i may need some major clutch adjustment. I have a video of the noise to post when im home.
    THanks Guys

You can adjust the clutch pedal for more clutch throw, its just a threaded rod that you turn IIRC. The grinding you here is fairly common if its what I think it is. It gets mistakenly diagnosed as a TOB most of the time. I believe its the input shaft bearing is bad. Sometimes changing the trans oil can help a lot.

Thanks I'll look into it.. Tranny is fresh and new so should be fine but I'll drain and fill it.. Can't hurt

The oil you choose matters too. I have Redline in mine and have been very happy with it. RED LINE Driveline Kit #2 3000GT/Stealth AWD (redlinekitawd2) - Ninja Performance - Affordable

And here is the rod to adjust, stole this image from the interwebs http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c6...lutchpedal.jpg

Under the steering wheel. You will need to get into an interesting position.. on back under the wheel. ugh

It is right by the clutch pedal

Also if I take off and get at like 4k in first it argues with me about taking it out of gear

Your clutch master cylinder looks like it's been leaking for quite some time.

Anyways, congrats on finding another one & GL with sorting out the issues with it.
