What were all the original options/accessories from the dealer?

I was talking to HardAttack about the different color cloth seats and it made me wonder.. what were all the options from the factory.

Obviously sunroof and 6 disc CD changer - but how about different color cloth seats, car phone, stuff like that?

Mudflaps. Probably the earlier cars had premium radio options.
Mitsu probably had a "sun and sound" option, as well. The stealths did, I think.

    From the phone.

I have 97 and 99 accessories brochure. I also had a 93 back in the days, only difference I think was the phone option back then.

With the 2nd gen VR-4, I believe 6cd changer, nose mask, mud guards, floor mats, car cover were it.

1st gen base model 3000GT's had a spoiler option and premium radio options, along with the normal mud flaps, bra, sunroof, etc. You could even get a leather seat upgrade, but it would be manual. No electric seat upgrades for base models. I believe the car phone options were dealer installed/supplied items.

Let's not forget the GTO options, like the skirt decals & the rear window lighted GTO logo...

Pretty good info so far! I wish I could get a set of tan leather manual seats!

What was the "radio upgrade"? I've only seen one radio per generation (headunit at least).

Also, what was the difference between GTO/MR/regular 3/Ss?

It really is amazing all the features and options these cars had in the early 90s. I wonder what percent of the population knew of a CD changer in 1993? Or has a use for an aux. input..

Infinity sound was an upgrade in 94-99 base models. In 1st gens, you could get an optional CD player in your base model (it was around $800 option). Base models generally came with AM/FM/Cassette. Base model stealths would be the most basic model out of all. They started with a 4 speaker AM/FM radio, manual crank windows, and no AC. Options for them would have also included power windows and door locks, Cassette/CD player, 6 speakers, AC, and automatic transmission.

Todd has every single sales brochure for our cars from not only this country, but Europe and Japan. Although his Japanese books are missing a few years. This includes the spyders!

I was plucking thru them looking at the various option packages they had and was contemplating making a chart similar to what Joe G did with the production data.

For example: did you know the 99s had no options? The 98s only had the CD changer as the option. 97 was the last year the sunroof was an optional extra.

Lots of cool things in these brochures!

There's been at least 1 Z15 that had manual windows & cloth seats, iirc.

As far as the differences between VR4/GTO/MR/SR? MR was (again, iirc) essentially a Z15 VR4. SR was essentially an N/A AWD with all of the MR upgrades (brakes, etc).
