I'm not making an excuse for the guy or anything. I'm just saying that the 2 are different. with Bonds it wasn't against the rules at the time. sure it might not have been the most ethical thing in the world but it saved baseball which was suffering and as much as they hate to admit it baseball in general profited big time from it. I jus think it's BS for them to cry foul after benefitting from it.

Lance Armstrong is a douche' bag of the highest caliber and much like Bonds he would have gotten by a ton better if he had not been such a douche'. in cycling EVERYONE was cheating. in fact the only people not "cheating" were at the back of the pack. that's just a fact and everyone knew it. as much as I hate Lance as a person and his character what he did was flat out amazing. the comeback from cancer and all those wins. simply incredible. are his wins "tainted" sorta. he doped but he beat other guys doing the same damn thing. sooooo.....

I know. I'm just saying there's a lot more to all of it than just the surface of things. there's a really documentary called, "Bigger Faster Stronger". it's all about PEDs in all sports from cycling to baseball to the Olympics and Pro-Wrestling. the whole system is really a joke.

Yes, what Lance did was absolutely amazing. ALL of the mid-pack forward riders were juiced, and he still slaughtered them. Yet, in my book he is still a douche with a stenchy leaking bag.

The politics of sports is too intertwined with the cash that is had. In a perfect world there would be needles at every event with a mobile lab in the parking lot. Not one sport is inocent of the cheat all the way down to highschool levels. Including the olympics...

indeed. you flash a couple million in front of someone and say, "all you have to do is beat these guys. oh btw this little thing will help you do that and you might not get caught.". who's not going to take that deal? I'll tell you right now that I would in a heart beat. plus these so called "tests" are such a joke anyone with a half way decent drug consultant can be on ish and still pass with flying colors.

I'll give you a brief aside. in the Olympics there are 3(or 4) countries that drug test their athletes off season. US, France and England. I'm pretty sure that's it if not a sub set with 2 or more of them in it. anywho. if you're not going to drug test until it's game time that allows the athletes a long time to load up and get miles ahead of their comp. even if they have to come off or just switch what they are using for the games and they lose a step or 2 it doesn't matter because they're so far ahead already. take Olympic weight lifting. there's a group of countries that win every time and no one else. the US for example will never win a Gold in that because of our drug testing policy vs others. our women stand a chance and have won in the past but that's about it.
