Just fund it LOL, why not also make it a normal listed section?
Not that a tab on top is a bad idea, I kinda like that, but I found it hard to find, since I wasn't looking there for it.

Allowing people to buy/sell here is a two sided benefit. Making it difficult doesn't make sense IMO. Especially when asking for that information doesn't guarantee or assist anything at all. Many 'bad deals' fall into the misunderstanding catagory 90% of the time anyway. Real name and true phone number, email, mailing address should suffice for what the intention is.

An image of drv's license or anything else provides no further 'proof' than does an email. An image is so easy to manipulate/fake it is almost useless.

So what is the intention? Isn't it solely that the person is who they say they are? And if that's the case, the majority of a lot of people coming over here are already known. Aren't they?

Along similar lines I have a question about the 'sponsor' part. Namely:
"Do you sell new product? Do you make parts to sell? SO you sell used parts as a way to make money? If you do any of these things you probably need to be a sponsor. We have several sponsorship levels available that should be fair no matter the size of your business."

I can understand asking for money from a commercial retail business but this reads as if someone that is just selling something on the side, out of their garage, not as a business, has to pay money to the site to sell. Isn't this the SAME thing people complained and didn't like at 3si? Having to pay money for the 1-off parts, the sole person creating some new parts, the lifter group buy, etc. Perhaps something is different but it reads the same or is very unclear as to the requirements.

    WTF?

Greg (Monochrome) ran into the same issue yesterday. Definitely something that could be improved (that whole area is a bit compressed, and not very obvious).

the small home seller is just who i am, and its always been a black area. right now i am not a vendor on any of the forums i currently make LED products for because i am just a guy in my garage making one off parts for a few people now and then.

i have emailed alan about this very same case for this forum. he said there is going to be a price range to become a vendor and i guess ill just have to wait and see how that turns out.

i agree the Driver license and receipts i just retarded overkill. there have to be some kind of happy medium

Must be a lot for just one person to handle or be the sole approver. Doesn't seem terribly effective to have just one person that can do any particular task. What happens if that individual is somehow incapacitated for whatever reason? Does the entire site just stop?

Seriously? - The site has not even been on line for a week and the structure is still being worked out.. Don't unnecessarily rock the boat.
