Classified Verification Overkill

Some peoples posts here indicate they ONLY posted a pic of the DL and a bill.

The directions were pretty clear (or should have been) as to what info to provide. The "picture" posted was just of the DL and bill. The rest of the post included other typed info.

1) Make a post with your full name, birth date, address and phone number.
2) Attach an image of your drivers license and a bill that shows your address.

I'm probably just being over concerned for no reason. I'm sure Alan will get to me and the others when he has time.

I have created an option to sell without address verification. GOto your profile and join the group "not verified".

This will allow you to sell without verification.

If you choose this group you will get a red button similar to the green verified button stating you are not verified.

Oh, I was just wondering why you needed a photo of our drivers license.

Isn't a bill with our name and address enough for verifying our place of residence? I mean everything that is really of importance in selling is the name and address, not so much a picture of the seller, or the sellers DL number, etc.

I just don't feel safe having a picture and my DL number out there in the world wide web that's all.

The DL is a second form of verification. As has been noted MANY times, you can blank out pertinent info like your DL number, etc.

Oh, my understanding was that it was to make sure there's a photo ID of the seller, but it's nice to know that's not the case.

If you do not provide some proof of ID in the post, PM or email you won't get verified.

You can sell unverified if you choose(goto the verification forum for details. )

What do people do that have DL address' that don't match their Bills? I'm in that boat. My DL has my parents address, but my bills come to my home. Would this technicality prevent us from being a verified seller?
