This is an old post from 3si. But I thought I would update here.
Well I know all of us really don't like the stock look of our engine bay and are always looking for a way to spice it up. AKA polishing everything that can be polished. Well this weekend I had some parts off re-polishing them aka intake and valve covers. And I just started sanding. And got to thinking about how much of a bitch it was the 1st time doing this. And here I am again doing it. LOL well I said enough is enough. So I went out looking to buy some things that well make it simpler this time around. When I seen a yard sell and one of the signs said power tools. So I said what the hell and stopped in to see what they had. And what do you know to my surprise.
1. Table top grinder 20$
2. Single table top easy sander 20$
3. New in package ryobi angle sander 10$
So I bought them and set out to home depo and bought.
2 Polishing grease disc
and a small set of grease disc and some rough bars
So all in all I spent less than 100$ and have everything for anything to polish whatever lol. I cant believe my luck today.
Ok so I have finally had time to start my polishing projects! I thought I would start with something really simple. AKA fuel rail lol. This is after 15 min of work. And wow this is alot faster!!!! And remember I started hand sanding at 300 grit. A while back. And I started from the 300. With no hand sanding. This if unfinished. AKA NO chorme polish.
