Ultimate frustration with EVO Scan / ECU Flash

    For starters, my equipment list:
    -Green 1993 VR4 ( I hate green) with 91-92 TT wire harnes.

    -EvoScan 2.7

-ECU Flash version 1.422595 (the latest ECU flash version fails to install the Open Port 2.0 drivers on my laptop, all the time, every time. I hit cancel when it asks to install the 1.3 drivers, then it brings me to the 2.0 driver screen, I hit accept, and it instantly says "failed")

    - Win 7 laptop (4 bit)

    - Tactrix 2.0 cable

    - 91-92 Jester ECU w/ OBD1/2 adapter harness

    - 3.5L with 91-92TT heads

    Story:

I'm FINALLY ready to try and start my car after 2 years, and I'm not getting fuel out of the injectors. I do have 50 psi rail pressure (via the gauge) but the spark plugs are dry and cylinders do not smell of fuel. The boost gauge jumps up to 0 psi when I turn the ignition to the "ON" position, and the tacho jumps around normally when I try cranking the car (which leads me to believe the cam angle sensor is working)

So I decided to set up EVo Scan / ECU Flash to try and make the injectors at least fire off. The installation of the latest version of ECU Flash (1.443721 from the EVOscan website, here results in the failed installation of the included open port 2.0 drivers every time. I have installed version 1.422 as a result.

I believe my biggest problem to be the fact that EVOScan is not giving me the option of selecting the MUTII 3000GT definition file from the dropdown menu even after I have put the file in the proper folder as seen here.

Furthermore, I am getting a persistant "Less than 5v detected at cable" message. The ECU grounds under the wiper motor have been improved by sanding the firewall down to bare metal in that spot. I have also added a big ole fatty of a ground cable to the back of the intake manifold. I tried 3 batteries in the car. Optima Red shows 12.9v, Odyssey PC680 shows 13.3, and the battery out of my GF's Camry shows 12.9. ....the solid RED wire (ECU power wire) by the MFI relay is showing battery voltage respective of whatever battery I had in the car. Could not get around that low voltage warning.

I stayed up until 3AM trying to figure this out last night (I even sent A.Pape some frustrated texts lol). ItTricky recommended I attack this problem when I have a clear mind, so this is what I'm trying to do.

Anyone have any starting tips? Or is a part-out thread imminent? hahah

Chrome is not your issue. To fix your no start issue you need to verify mechanical timing, compression, spark and fuel. Verify your CAS is good and properly adjusted. Startup the car with a stock ECU just to eliminate variables. Deal with EcuFlash setup separately.

Cam timing is dead nuts on. I sprayed starting fluid into the throttle and it stumbled and damn near fired up. I have three CAS's and they all act the same.

1000cc injectors will probably flood my car out instantly with a stock ECU. I also don't have a stock ECU or stock 360's to throw in the car at the moment

There might be a chrome setup issue related to 91/92. IDK, mine is a 95 and chrome started up straight out of the box. I did have to swap O2 sensor wiring before she would cruise properly though.

The start up tables need to be modified a lot for 1000cc injectors. By a lot, I mean 1/4 the numbers that come on a stock ROM. No doubt old gas and extreme rich start up conditions are causing him grief.

The ECU has already been flashed by my buddy (who is currently in jail lol) for bosch 1000cc injectors. That was taken into account months ago. He also said the ECU was responding to commands when he had it on his bench setup.

    this is a 64 bit Win7 laptop

My ecu is giving me absolutely no fuel from the injectors. "extreme rich conditions" would be something I'd be willing to deal with at this point, so long as it started lol

Keep asking me questions though. I'm just infernally frustrated that my car isn't starting lol

That's why I thought CAS. The ECU is obviously deciding not to pulse the injectors. Is the resistor pack on the firewall plugged in?

Well the injector scaling and latency values are one thing. The start up tables are something entirely different.

The only reason i can think that you wouldn't be getting any IPW is the ECU isn't seeing the starter switch.
